Post by rab » Sat Jul 25, pm Can you tell me how to install pspboot.
I've spent about half a day searching this forum and the web in general and it really isn't as easy to find this info as you might imagine. I've found the odd reference for de-bricking these things that indicate using a jtag cable and writing pspboot to a particular address, but is that really the proper way since this isn't bricked? I figured I'd give this a go, but then finding the pin out for the jtag also isn't trivial. It's a 14 pin connector but forum posts suggest it isn't the standard 14 pin layout.
I've tried connecting it as standard and according to ones listed in this forum which were asked about in questions and never confirmed and I am unable to get any jtag software to recognise it. Post by rab » Sat Aug 01, pm Thanks. Using your jtag pinout and the resistor link I was able to access it. I used Ciclamab set it to my flash chip type, and pspboot and was able to easily install pspboot.
Backing up the old boot loader took about 2. Writing the new one took about 25! After that installing rt 2. Happily all the hardware worked openwrt doesn't support the wireless, I assume because they use linux 2.
Well I am still watching your blog my friend. Hope things are fine with you. It is good to see you on the blogs again. Take care. Hi nick, They seem to work on my end however I will check and verify the things. I need one more help from you or any one from UberGT forums.
I am unable to register with the forums to communicate with the guys there. I tried registering with 2 different email ids however the activation mail never reached me. Please ask the forum admin to send me activation mail for my account id: yschandra. I've forwarded your message to Bracco. First I need to verify the nicks observation of UberGT mods are not working correctly then I will have a look. You can watch this blog for updates. I really hope you get the UberGT mods working with the new firmware, i await the new firmware with great anticipation.
